NFT NYC Recap - Evaluate.Market Newsletter 11.7.21
We at Evaluate.Market are coming off a busy week full of connecting in real life with people in the NFT space. We learned, we laughed, and we lived our best lives in NYC as a part of the annual NFT NYC conference.
Here is a photo of team members Jennifer Sutto (Marketing/Social), Christian Dittmeier (Cofounder), and Shah Siddiqui (Software Engineer) enjoying the week!

NFT NYC Week Recap
The NFT NYC conference itself was spread across four venues with 600+ speakers, and attracted 5,000 people plus a 3,000-person waitlist. People spoke about a variety of topics, from crypto to blockchain to how big brands can get involved with Web3 and NFTs.
Evaluate.Market Cofounder Christian gave an incredible speech around Data Analysis & NFTs.

We also saw NFTs take over Times Square with billboards from a variety of projects. This means thousands of eyes walked by NFTs every day!
Ape Fest
While many descended on the week early, most arrived on Halloween, which marked the beginning of Ape Fest for the super-hot NFT Bored Ape Yacht Club.
The queue for wristbands at Bright Moments gallery wrapped around the block, lasting a majority of the day, as the team worked feverishly to pass out the 1,000 coveted yellow wristbands which gave Yacht and Warehouse Party access.
The Yacht Party itself was, in fact, on board an actual yacht at Pier 40, where many chose to dress up as their apes for Halloween. There were unforgettable views of the city and even the Statue of Liberty as the apes set sail throughout the night.
Ape Fest also introduced new BAYC merch, and the demand was higher than ever. The merch pop-up created lines around the block, some waiting up to 8 hours for their all-white ape streetwear, including hoodies, t-shirts, and hats.
The final BAYC event was the Brooklyn Steel warehouse party, featuring The Strokes, Lil Baby, Chris Rock, Aziz Ansari, Questlove, and Beck. The warehouse was transformed into an island-themed celebration for 2,000 people, and BAYC provided limited edition Ape Fest posters with bright yellow bananas on them to attendees.
NBA Top Shot
Top Shot and Dapper Labs had a major presence at NFT NYC, as one of the major entry points for many NFT collectors this year.
This kicked off with a Top Shot Happy Hour on Monday at Terminal 5, featuring a performance from Quavo and an interview with Roham himself.
Many collectors and NBA fans chose to attend the Knicks vs. Raptors game afterwards, which was a really fun way to meet new people and see the magical Madison Square Garden for the first time.

On a different night, Dapper and Flow hosted a VIP event called Off the Chain, with incredible displays and activations for all to see.
The Cats
Both Gutter Cat Gang and Cool Cats NFT had events during the week, bringing collectors of each together.
The Gutter Cat Gang teamed up with Royal Society of Players and Metaverse HQ to throw a massive rooftop party.

Cool Cats NFT held an unofficial party near Times Square.
